I am now sitting on a love sac up in Jamie's quazi-attic. all are asleep. i am not. this is for a good reason(s): to share with you all what my trip has consisted of/ to help me remember later.
...so anyway by brother, bryce, bryce's girlfriend patty and a few other kids went camping at kea'au, the evening sesh was pretty fun, a little chopey but full of waves; but the dawn patrol sesh was absolutly richter. i was the first of our group to get out and the waves were unreal, consistent and barreling. i then left for the airport...
i got to kauai a day and a half ago, got picked up by jamie (whom with things are going very well) and went to a beach on the eastside with her and her dog cocoa. basically watched the clouds change from white to pink to a moonlit black, hung out and talked for like 3 hours... amongst other things.
today was amazing. we woke up at 7:30, went north and hiked down to what was only shortly to be known as a secluded beach when like 30 kayakers with a tour group came and harshed our melow (thank you matt sinclair). we then ate lunch, played cards and went to 'queens bath' which is this natural pool that comes with high tide that is surrounded by lava rock with a cliff for jumping off of. it was a sunny beutiful day which is rare for the northside and the waves were completely flat so i had no problem with not surfing.
we then went further north towards ke'e beach where we hiked to this giant water filled cave and this place called the 'blue room'. to get to it you have to go under seemingly pitch black water and swim under a section of rock hoping that when you come up there will be air. after discovering your working lungs you find yourself in a cave with no entrance except down and no lighting except the limited amount of light still contained in the water which comes off as a dark blue effectivly earning its name. a great place to find yourself with an attractive young lady.
another beach, took her sister to karate, snuck into the marriott pool, went for a walkabout and found out what it was all about.
I love Hawaii.
I do miss all of you a lot as well as boulder, hope you all are making use of this free time because it wont be here long. see you all when i get back. next year (aka next week) is gonna wicked proper.
Dread out.
ps: on the big island my bro and i went shopping for food, but we did it when we had the munchies which consequently led to my brother buying a zuchinni of which i didn't think anything of untill we were halfway home and i was like "why did we buy a zuchinni?" which was then followed by laughter and much rejoicing.
