woke up today and watched the wedding singer with jamie. she went to work and i went to poipu. casey's brother and cousin are in town and i found out today that Donk is a father, knocked up some oregon girl apparently. casey and i skated and talked like old times. also saw my friend jake who was my best friend in 7th grade, we reminisced.

this evening around sunset, jamie and i went out to dinner at this really nice italian restaurant. it was most delish. then we walked up and down the moonlit poipu strip of beaches and hotels. it was also most delish. shes a pretty awesome lady i must say. she actually makes me scared when she drives, which oddly enough is kind of a turn on. i am definately enjoying my vacation and it was cool today hanging out with both casey and jamie at the same time. that was a first. all around good day. awfully tired though so im gonna go read myself to sleep. good night all.

J

ps: val- when i get back you must teach me this zuchinni dish because as of now i think i can honestly saw that i have never eaten a zuchinni and enjoyed it.

I am now sitting on a love sac up in Jamie's quazi-attic. all are asleep. i am not. this is for a good reason(s): to share with you all what my trip has consisted of/ to help me remember later.

...so anyway by brother, bryce, bryce's girlfriend patty and a few other kids went camping at kea'au, the evening sesh was pretty fun, a little chopey but full of waves; but the dawn patrol sesh was absolutly richter. i was the first of our group to get out and the waves were unreal, consistent and barreling. i then left for the airport...

i got to kauai a day and a half ago, got picked up by jamie (whom with things are going very well) and went to a beach on the eastside with her and her dog cocoa. basically watched the clouds change from white to pink to a moonlit black, hung out and talked for like 3 hours... amongst other things.

today was amazing. we woke up at 7:30, went north and hiked down to what was only shortly to be known as a secluded beach when like 30 kayakers with a tour group came and harshed our melow (thank you matt sinclair). we then ate lunch, played cards and went to 'queens bath' which is this natural pool that comes with high tide that is surrounded by lava rock with a cliff for jumping off of. it was a sunny beutiful day which is rare for the northside and the waves were completely flat so i had no problem with not surfing.

we then went further north towards ke'e beach where we hiked to this giant water filled cave and this place called the 'blue room'. to get to it you have to go under seemingly pitch black water and swim under a section of rock hoping that when you come up there will be air. after discovering your working lungs you find yourself in a cave with no entrance except down and no lighting except the limited amount of light still contained in the water which comes off as a dark blue effectivly earning its name. a great place to find yourself with an attractive young lady.

another beach, took her sister to karate, snuck  into the marriott pool, went for a walkabout and found out what it was all about.

I love Hawaii.

I do miss all of you a lot as well as boulder, hope you all are making use of this free time because it wont be here long. see you all when i get back. next year (aka next week) is gonna wicked proper.

Dread out.

ps: on the big island my bro and i went shopping for food, but we did it when we had the munchies which consequently led to my brother buying a zuchinni of which i didn't think anything of untill we were halfway home and i was like "why did we buy a zuchinni?" which was then followed by laughter and much rejoicing.

Wutup everyone, I am currently sitting in my brothers car waiting for him to return from his clown job. the last three days have been so much awesome. ----surfing everday of course, and weve been really lucky with the waves. yesterday we went to pohiki at dawn (because that is when the waves are glassy and when the tide was best.) it was so much fun. probobly the best waves ive surfed sinced i moved to the fine city of boulder two and a half years ago.  it was strickingly sureal: the sun was rising, but the sky to the east was a thick, dark grey set over the freshly sunlit trees on the coastline. all of which i veiwed from my surfboard sitting in the pristine channel.

two nights before that Jeremy ended up have an impromptu party at his house. his friend charles who we'd been cruising with all day commented, "ho bra, dis stay one ragah, ah?" at one point in the night, i was backflipping in my brothers livingroom- part of mad breakdancing circle that had drunkenly started up. also there were like 18 cars strewn across his frontyard in addition to the six cops that showed up. good times.

The morning after my bro took me to this river/waterfall/jungle/awesome. to get to it we had to hike in and then swim upstream climb up several rock structures and jump/dive over sections of  river. it was such an amazing place. usually there is a natural mossy slide but the river was too full and we probobly would have died attempting it.

What?! that was wierd. this little kid just drove by on an ATV. fuckin Hawaii.

Aside- xach have you seen the movie 'rockers' because it will blow your mind. its like this hardcore rasta movie. they need subtitles their accent is so thick.

Ok, so thats my trip thusfar, ill try to keep you all posted and i hope you're having a spectacular rest-of-summer. HuGs AnD KiSseS!! i mean what- im a man.

Dread Out.
